Written for the Kent County Youth Wind orchestra the title, Invicta, is a Latin
word meaning undefeated or unconquered and is the motto of the County of
Kent, England. Completed in 2019 it’s first performance by the Kent County
Wind Orchestra was delayed by two years due to the covid epidemic. Its title,
therefore, felt even more appropriate to the occasion.
